As you are aware I am eager to return to work as soon as possible and like many clients look forward to the reopening of Beauty and Aesthetic Salons. Getting back to what I love is very important to me but your safety and health are at the forefront of my mind when planning re-opening.
Reopening beauty and aesthetic salons dates and treatments

Today’s announcement that beauty salons may open is great news for our industry, sadly not so much for me.
As you know my business is predominantly facials and this is still under the restricted list of treatments that may not be carried out at the moment, so unfortunately you are going to have to wait for just a little while longer until we are told it’s safe to work.
I’m so sorry if you thought this was a green light but sadly not for my business.
I understand that the nature of our industry means that we are in very close contact with clients. My standards of hygiene and practice of safety is, like other businesses I know, 2nd to none. However for the time being we are unable to carry out facial treatments .
As soon as we are given the information when we can reopen I will be opening my diary.
Virtual skincare and aesthetic consultations

Resuming facial aesthetic treatments and social distancing
It is still unclear how and when I will be able to resume with facial treatments being the main part of my business.
The close and personal nature of the treatments I offer make it very difficult to maintain social distance. They are virtually impossible to do if we both need to be wearing face coverings.
So with that in mind I am waiting for the Government and the Beauty Industry bodies such as BABTAC and NHBF to set out the guidelines for the industry, and until these are clear I cannot give any definite dates to resume treatments.
Preparing for reopening my aesthetic salon
I have been preparing with extra sanitising and barrier items as well as updating my hygiene knowledge. As most of you are aware I have an Environmental Health Certification. I use disposable single use items whenever possible.
My attention to detail with sterilising and sanitising has always been gold standard and this will continue.
I am waiting for advice from insurers about the need for client declarations. You may need to be complete a questionnaire before your appointment. I will endeavour to make this as simple as possible for you.
